Even in spring and autumn, it's lovely to hike around the Aiguilles d’Arves (3510 meters high)

Lacets de Montvernier

This climb is located down in the valley, near Saint Jean de Maurienne. The climb is only 3.4 km long, with 277 meters of elevation gain, but features no less than 17 hairpin bends. On average, the road ascends at 8.1%. Amazingl for cyclists.

Tour de France

The yellow and green jerseys right in front of Chalet La Marmotte. The Tour de France regularly passes the chalet as they cycle towards the summit of the Col de la Croix de Fer.
